Writing code consists in sitting on a chair, which is a surprisingly important element of the development process (who would of thought?). After going through many sub-100 EUR (or ~100 EUR) chairs over the years, I finally decided to buy some “normal” chair that doesn’t fall apart after a year like my last chair bought off the Amazon for about 80 EUR did. I figured out it would actually cost me less money to buy a chair that may cost even 500 EUR and would last 5+ years than buying a 100 EUR chair every year. So I went through some reviews and decided to buy a Titan Evo 2022 chair, since so many people were thrilled with it.
It was a mistake. This is the worst chair I ever sat in, much worse than any of the sub-100 EUR chairs I had over the years. The problem with this chair is that it is super hard. It feels almost like sitting on a wooden chair. My body is actually in pain every time I get up from this chair, and sitting in it is super uncomfortable. Secretlab claims that harder chairs are actually better for you. I don’t buy it. If my legs and my back hurts after sitting on my chair, then something is off. They might be right in theory, but their Titan Evo chair just doesn’t work for me.
Another gripe I have with Secretlab is misleading information on their web site. When I bought the chair, they promised it would arrive in no more than 5 days, which is something they also publicly state on their web site:
How long does delivery take?
Orders are shipped from our warehouse in Warsaw, Poland. Your order typically takes up to 1 working day to be processed and will be delivered within 2-4 working days.

Mine arrived after more than 2 weeks. Talking with the support they explained it to me:
Please allow me to inform you that the preparation time for your package before it ships out is 5 working days. Nevertheless, as soon as the shipment is sent out, you will receive a shipping confirmation email along with a tracking number. Typically, this process takes seven working days or fewer.
Now that is way different from what they say on their web site. Giving promises knowing you aren’t going to keep is misleading and unfair to say the least. So I’m done with Secretlab and their chairs. I talked with the support and I’m shipping the chair back. Some people say it costs 1/4 of the price of a new chair, so we’ll see about that.
Morale of the story: don’t buy the Titan Evo chair.
